Cleo Book Privacy Policy

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a role preference (customer or salon owner). If you sign in with Google, we receive the email and name associated with that account.

Booking information. To make a booking we collect your name, email address, phone number, the salon, service, artist, date, time, and any notes you choose to add. Booking records are linked to your account when you are logged in, or stored against the email you provide when you book as a guest.

Payment information. When you pay by card or leave a tip, payment is processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number — Stripe handles that securely. We retain only the transaction identifiers Stripe returns and the booking or tip that triggered the charge.

Salon content. Salon owners who manage a listing provide business details such as name, address, contact details, images, services, staff, pricing, and availability.

Usage and device information. We collect anonymous analytics about how you navigate the app (e.g., which steps of the booking flow you reach) and standard device and browser information needed to operate the Service.

— To send you booking confirmations, reminders, and cancellation notices by email.

— To process card payments and gratuities through Stripe.

— To allow salon owners to manage their listings and appointments, and to share relevant booking details with them so they can serve you.

— To improve the app's features, performance, and reliability.

— To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

With salons you book with: the salon receives your name, contact details, booking details, and any notes you share, so they can prepare for and deliver your appointment.

With Stripe: payment and fraud-prevention data is shared with Stripe as the payment processor, governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

Service providers: we rely on hosting and infrastructure providers (including Base44) to operate the Service. They process data on our behalf and under contractual obligations.

Legal obligations: we may disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

We keep your account and booking data for as long as your account is active. Salon listing data is retained while the salon operates on the Service. Transaction records are kept for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes. You can request deletion of your account at any time (see below).

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. You can update your profile in the app, manage your bookings, or request full deletion of your account by contacting us — and deleting your account removes the records we hold that are linked to it, subject to records we are legally required to retain (such as completed transactions).

We protect your information using secure, authenticated infrastructure and a service role that restricts who can read or modify sensitive records. Payment data handled by Stripe is protected to industry standards (PCI-DSS). No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable safeguards.

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. By using the Service you consent to such transfers in accordance with this Policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the amended policy in the app and update the "Last updated" date above.
